VanEck Thinks Bitcoin's Cycle Bottom Is Close, But Don't Get Too Hyped
Aug 14, 2026
VanEck says Bitcoin is nearing a cycle bottom, but a cautious take reminds investors that bottom calls aren't guarantees.
Bitcoin's price action has been rough lately, but VanEck thinks the pain might be almost over. The asset manager said BTC looks like it's getting close to a cycle bottom.
What VanEck is seeing
The idea is pretty simple: after a long stretch of selling and choppy price action, certain signals start lining up that usually show up near the end of a downtrend. VanEck isn't calling an exact bottom, just saying the setup looks familiar compared to past cycles.
That's not the same as saying the bottom is in, though. Markets can stay messy longer than anyone expects, and plenty of past bottom calls turned out to be early.
Should you care
If you're a long-term holder, this kind of analysis is more about context than a signal to jump in. It's a reminder that big money is starting to think about accumulation again, not a guarantee that prices bounce tomorrow.
As always, do your own research before making moves based on any single analyst's take.
