Stellar's Tokenized Asset Market Is Closing In on $4 Billion
Sep 16, 2026
Stellar's tokenized RWA market has surged 360% in 2026 to nearly $4 billion, even as XLM's price keeps sliding.
A Quiet Chain Having a Loud Year
While most crypto headlines chase price charts, Stellar has been quietly building something else: a real-world asset market that's grown roughly 360% in 2026, from under $900 million at the start of the year to nearly $4 billion by late August.
That total covers tokenized US Treasurys, private credit, and even non-US government debt like Mexican and Brazilian bonds. Five issuers make up most of it, led by Spiko, followed by names like Franklin Templeton and Ondo.
More Is Coming
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, the backbone of US securities settlement, has said it plans to connect its tokenization service to Stellar, potentially opening the door to tokenized ETFs and Russell 1000 stocks by 2027. MoneyGram's stablecoin also lives on the network now.
Here's the twist: none of this has helped XLM, Stellar's own token, which is still down about 11% for the year. Institutional adoption and token price, it turns out, don't always move together.
