SpaceX held onto all of its Bitcoin through Q3, with its stash now worth $1.57 billion, making it the seventh-largest corporate BTC holder.
No Selling Here
Turns out SpaceX isn't just launching rockets, it's holding onto Bitcoin too. According to financials released this week, Space Exploration Technologies Corp. kept every bit of its BTC stash through the third quarter. That stash is now worth $1.57 billion, up 42% from $1.1 billion last quarter, even though the company has actually taken $64 million in paper losses on it so far this year.
Seventh Biggest Corporate Holder
SpaceX doesn't break down its exact holdings these days, but its IPO filing once showed 18,712 BTC on the books. That makes it the seventh-largest corporate Bitcoin holder out there, ahead of crypto-native names like Coinbase. And it's not alone: Elon Musk's other company, Tesla, is sitting on over 11,500 BTC of its own, worth nearly $950 million.
On top of that, SpaceX posted a strong quarter, with revenue beating estimates at $14.58 billion.
