Saylor's Strategy Is Buying Bitcoin Again
Sep 21, 2026
After a three-week pause, Michael Saylor's Strategy is back in the market, picking up 950 BTC and pushing its total holdings toward a new record.
Back in the Game
Michael Saylor's Strategy (the company formerly known as MicroStrategy) just ended a three-week shopping break. It picked up 950 BTC for about $75.7 million, paying an average price near $79,670 per coin.
That brings the company's total holdings to a massive 846,000 BTC, putting its stack close to the record it set back in June. Not bad for a company that basically treats Bitcoin as its main treasury asset at this point.
What It Signals
A pause that long naturally got people wondering if Strategy was slowing down. This purchase answers that pretty clearly — they're not done buying. With MSTR shares also climbing on the news, it looks like the market is happy to see Saylor back at it.
Strategy remains the biggest corporate Bitcoin holder by a wide margin, and moves like this tend to get noticed across the whole market, not just among BTC maximalists.
