Multicoin Just Sent $10 Million in HYPE to Coinbase, and Traders Are Nervous

A big HYPE transfer from Multicoin Capital to Coinbase Prime has traders on edge again.
A Big Wallet Move Nobody Missed
On August 18, on-chain trackers spotted something interesting. Multicoin Capital, one of the bigger names backing Hyperliquid, moved about 172,710 HYPE tokens, worth around $10.15 million, straight to Coinbase Prime.
Why does that matter? Well, Coinbase Prime is the kind of address whales usually use right before they sell. So naturally, people started asking if Multicoin is about to dump some bags.
Should You Worry?
HYPE sits comfortably in the top 10 tokens by market cap, so a move like this gets noticed fast. It doesn't automatically mean a sale is coming though. Funds shuffle tokens around for all kinds of reasons, custody, rebalancing, or prepping for OTC deals.
Still, with HYPE already down over the past day, this kind of transfer adds a bit more uncertainty to an already shaky mood. Worth keeping an eye on the next few days to see if the token actually hits exchanges for real selling.
