JPMorgan's First 10-Year Bitcoin Forecast Puts It Ahead of Stocks and Gold

J.P. Morgan Asset Management just published its first long-term bitcoin forecast, and the number raises eyebrows: a projected 10% annual return over the next decade, beating both U.S. stocks and gold.

A New Benchmark From a Wall Street Giant

J.P. Morgan Asset Management has released its first-ever 10-year return forecast for bitcoin, and the numbers are turning heads across the industry. The firm projects an average annual return of 10% for bitcoin over the next decade, putting it ahead of its own forecast for U.S. large-cap stocks (7.5%) and gold (5.5%).

This matters because JPMorgan has historically been one of the more cautious voices on crypto among the big Wall Street banks. Seeing one of the largest asset managers in the world formally slot bitcoin into its long-term capital markets assumptions, right alongside stocks, bonds, and gold, is a sign of how mainstream the asset has become.

What It Means for Investors

A forecast like this doesn't guarantee anything, prices will still swing hard along the way, but it does give institutional allocators a new reference point when building long-term portfolios that include digital assets. It's one more data point suggesting bitcoin is being treated less like a side bet and more like a real asset class.
