Cross River Bank Adds Ripple's RLUSD Stablecoin to Its Core Banking System

Cross River Bank is integrating Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin, with XRP Ledger support, directly into its core banking platform as the token's market cap nears $2.4 billion.

RLUSD Goes Straight Into the Banking Stack

Cross River Bank is adding RLUSD, Ripple's dollar-backed stablecoin, to its core banking platform, with support for the XRP Ledger built in. This isn't just a listing on an exchange, it's an integration at the infrastructure level of an actual bank.

According to data from NS3.AI, RLUSD had a market capitalization of roughly $2.4 billion as of mid-October, showing steady growth since its launch.

Banks Keep Warming Up to Stablecoins

Moves like this matter because they show traditional banks are getting more comfortable plugging stablecoins directly into their existing systems instead of treating them as something separate. For Ripple, having a regulated bank integrate RLUSD at the core platform level is a strong vote of confidence for the token's path toward wider use in everyday payments.

It's another small step toward stablecoins becoming boring, everyday banking infrastructure rather than a crypto-only curiosity.
