Citi Raises Bitcoin Target to $113K and Ethereum to $3,028

Citigroup lifted its 12-month Bitcoin forecast to $113,000 and its Ethereum target to $3,028, citing stronger crypto activity and returning ETF inflows.
Citigroup has raised its 12-month price targets for Bitcoin and Ethereum, pointing to stronger trading activity, a more supportive macro backdrop, and the return of ETF inflows.
In a research note dated September 30, the bank lifted its Bitcoin target to $113,000 from $82,000. Its Ethereum forecast climbed to $3,028 from $2,240.
Why the upgrade?
Citi said crypto markets have shown stronger activity and that advisers and brokerages are gradually raising Bitcoin allocations. The bank expects about $5 billion in crypto inflows over the next 12 months, at a slower but steadier pace than earlier forecasts.
At the time of the report, Bitcoin was trading near the mid-$80,000s and Ethereum around $2,700. That put Citi's new Bitcoin target roughly 35% above spot levels, while the Ethereum target sat about 12% higher.
The upgrade partly reverses earlier cuts. Citi had previously reduced its Bitcoin outlook from higher levels down to $82,000 before this latest revision. The new $113,000 call still sits below Bitcoin's October 2025 all-time high of about $126,200.
