Chainlink Teams Up With Bottomline to Move $16 Trillion

Chainlink teamed up with payments giant Bottomline, which moves $16 trillion a year, and LINK jumped 6.8% on the news.

A big bridge between banks and blockchains

Chainlink just announced a joint venture with Bottomline, a payments technology company that reportedly moves around $16 trillion a year for its bank clients. The goal is simple: let those banks plug their existing payment rails directly into public and private blockchains.

The market liked what it heard. LINK was trading around $11.88 on September 4, up roughly 6.8% in 24 hours after the news dropped.

Why this actually matters

Deals like this are a big deal for crypto's "real world adoption" story. It's not just another DeFi integration, it's a legit payments company opening the door for banks to move value on-chain without reinventing their whole infrastructure.

If Bottomline's bank clients actually start using this, it could bring a serious wave of institutional volume onto Chainlink's network. Definitely one of the more interesting infrastructure plays of the week.
