Cathie Wood's ARK Invest Puts a $1.3 Billion Fund on Ethereum

ARK Invest is tokenizing its flagship venture fund on Ethereum through Securitize, giving investors a new way to access its private-market bets.
Cathie Wood's ARK Invest is taking its venture bets on-chain. The firm just tokenized its $1.3 billion ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX), and it's doing it on Ethereum.
How the deal works
ARK partnered with Securitize to handle the tokenization, which lets the fund offer a tokenized share class alongside its existing exchange-listed shares. The SEC reportedly granted ARK Venture Fund amended relief to make this possible, opening the door for a fund that normally invests in things like private AI startups and SpaceX to be represented as a token that lives on a public blockchain.
Why it matters
This is ARK's first on-chain product, and it fits a broader trend of traditional asset managers experimenting with tokenized funds to make private-market exposure easier to hold and eventually trade. It won't turn ARKVX into something you can swap on a DEX overnight, but it's another sign that big names in finance are getting comfortable putting real assets on public chains.
