Bitcoin Shrugs Off CPI Jitters as US Inflation Holds Steady at 3.4%

US inflation held at 3.4% in August and Bitcoin bounced right back from its knee-jerk dip, with major altcoins holding gains too.

Another CPI Day, Another Bitcoin Wobble

Every month it's the same drill. The CPI print drops, Bitcoin twitches, and traders hold their breath for a few minutes. This time was no different, except the ending was actually pretty good for the bulls.

US inflation came in at 3.4% for August, right in line with what the market was bracing for. Bitcoin dipped briefly on the release, the kind of knee-jerk reaction we've seen a hundred times before, but it didn't take long to claw its way back.

Why the Quick Bounce Matters

A steady inflation number keeps the Fed's rate-cut hopes alive, and that's generally music to risk assets' ears. Bitcoin recovering so fast suggests dip-buyers are still very much active, and that the market isn't looking for excuses to panic right now.

Major altcoins held their gains through the whole thing too, which is honestly a healthier sign than the headline BTC price action. When the broader market doesn't crack on a data print, it usually means sentiment is more resilient than the daily charts let on.
